Knick Knack Art

Hi, thank you for stopping by! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wanda and I come from an amazingly creative family. My mother is a seamstress and can create beautiful garments. My sister loves pottery and even started her own studio. My dad was also a very gifted and self-taught craftsman who could build just about anything.
 

I studied graphic design and marketing and continue to enjoy an extremely rewarding career in publishing. After purchasing an older home, I embarked on a three-year renovation journey and found that everything about the process from designing the interior to selecting materials down to the tiniest of  details made me very happy. While working on a gallery wall for my home  studio, I realized that I could share my ideas with others with the hope that it would help personalize their spaces while also bringing them joy. My pieces include art tiles made from paper and wood, acrylic paintings, string art, embroidery, pendants, paper dioramas and mosaics. I am obsessed with art and enjoy making pieces that are fun and full of color. There is nothing like the feeling I get when someone purchases a piece of art that was handmade by me. It brings me joy and encourages me to keep creating.
 

And since I am doggy obsessed (I am the proud mommy to Bella and her son Charlie), I knew I wanted my logo to incorporate a fun and friendly dachshund, in honor of my very first dog, the wonderful Miss Buttercup. She may be gone but she is not forgotten.
